The Finance Ministry on Monday dismissed reports that the wages of central government employees would be cut in the wake of the corona epidemic.  It was clear that the campaign was baseless and unrealistic.  The Finance Ministry tweeted that it was not considering any proposal to slash the current wages of central government employees of any category.  One section claims that the articles in the media are baseless.  Earlier, the Finance Ministry had clarified that there was no cut in the issue of pensions and that there was no talk of reducing wages and pensions in times of emergency.
 It is completely untrue that the government is campaigning for a 20 percent cut in central government pensions.  Central government employees and pensioners should not believe such rumors.
