Amravati: Gaddi Tirupati Rao, secretary of the Amaravati parirakshna samiti , has filed a petition in the High Court on the evacuation of the capital. The earlier petition was to be heard on the 4th of this month, but again the petition was filed. In this backdrop, Advocate for Tirupati Rao, unnam Muralidhar, told the High Court that he had filed a petition on the 24th of last month on the ongoing campaign to capitalize on the move. The petition is expected to be heard tomorrow. The government has filed a counter petition for the petition.
The government says the bills are pending in the legislature. The government has said that the lawsuit was filed based on a resolution allegedly made by the Secretariat Employees Union.
The state government's lawyer explained to the court that the state government is waiting for the bill to be completed in the legislatures and will take action thereafter. Against this backdrop, the government said that the petition for capital evacuation was invalid.
