Necessary action under the Provisions of the Rights Persons with Disabilities
Act, 2016 Regarding.

Ref: Govt. Memo.No.WDC01 126/ 2019 Prog.II A1, Dt.29.07.2019 of
Department for the Women, Children, Differently Abled & Senior Citizens.
It has been brought to the notice of the Govt. that some of the people in the Society
are Intentionally Insulting the Differently Abled Persons with the words i.e. Kuntodu,
Guddodu, Guunodu, Muugodu, Chevitodu, Yerrodu, Sottodu and Pichhodu etc.
In this connection, as per Section 92 (a) contained in the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities Act, 2016, whoever intentionally insults or intimidates with
intent to humiliate a person with disability in any place within public view; the
punishment of imprisonment for a team which shall not be less than six months,
but which may extend to five years and with fine will be levelled.
Accordingly, vide reference cited, the Principal Secretary to Govt. Department for
Women, Children, Differently Abled & Senior Citizens, AP, Amavarati has issued instructions to implement the provisions of the Act for better living of Persons with Disabilities in the. Society, by giving wide publicity among the public and make them aware and quantum of punishment of imprisonment, if they contravended the Right of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, wilfully
In this regard all the officers working at District Level, Divisional Level, Mandal Level and Village Level are hereby requested to give wide publicity among the public about the above section.
