Guidelines to District Educational Officers  for Induction Training Programme
Government of Andhra Pradesh, Department of School Education is decided to conduct Induction Training for new teachers recruited by 2014 DSC. The Induction Training programme helps the new teacher’s transition into a school and provide the critical support these teachers need to begin an effective teaching career. Comprehensive, high-quality teacher induction can accelerate professional growth and teacher effectiveness.
The following are the guidelines to conduct Induct Training at district level:
District level Committee:
District Educational Officer is the overall in-charge of Induction Training Programme.
A committee should be constituted to conduct Induction Training at District level with DEO, DIET Principal, one Dy. EO, one MEO, one DIET faculty.
Venue:
Identify required number of venues for the training programme.
Provide LCD projector facility in all the classrooms.
Provide generator.
Induction Training is residential in nature. Arrange accommodation for the resource persons and trainees.
Each classroom should be suitable for the capacity of 50 participants.
Separate classroom should be arranged for LPs.
The required number of reference books should be purchased within the budget.
Public addressing system should be made available in the venue.
2 or 3 classes may be combined for guest lectures.
Sufficient mineral water should be provided in the venue.
After completion of regular sessions the motivational / educational videos / movies should be played in the venue.
Prepare venue wise list of teachers to be attended for the training programme inform them.
Venue wise list to be attended should be displayed in the O/o DEO notice board and inform to the new teachers.
Guest Lectures
Identify local / famous guests to deliver guest lectures on academic issues.
Provide one guest lecture each day in the training programme.
Invite NGOs wherever available.
Arrange Yoga / Mediation classes by the experts.
Transaction
DEO / Dy.E.O. should take at-least one class in each centre.
ICT usage is compulsory in all the training venues.
Arrange field visits to nearby good practicing schools / NGO.
The ambiance of the training venue should be resemble academic and motivating environment.
Posters / Quotations on education should be display in each classroom.
One English teacher / resource person is must in each venue.
Material
Provide sufficient material to prepare TLM i.e., charts, sketch pens, scales, pencils, scissors, tape roles, fevistick, cardboards, glue, staplers, bell pins, old news papers, magazines etc.
Provide required number of textbooks from class I to V.
Provide 200 pages long note book for all the trainees. The same book will be utilize for the next follow up / training programmes.
Display reference / resource books for the teachers in all venues. Give opportunity to all the trainees to read those books and write note on them.
Handbook : SCERT will supply the CD of handbook the same will be print and supply to all the trainees and make them to utilize properly.
Monitoring
Appoint Dy. EO / School Complex HM / MEO as course Director.
Appoint one sitting observer not below the rank of GHM for each venue.
Involve DIET faculty / RVM faculty to monitor the training.
DEO should visit one venue every day.
Course Director should ensure 100% attendance of trainees every day.
Arrange helpdesk in DEO office to monitor attendance of trainees and other issues related to training programme.
The visiting officers i.e., DEO / Dy.EO / Principal DIET / DIET staff should address the participants and take a class within the timetable of the day.
Documentation
Constitute a documentation committee in each venue.
Give wide publicity about training programme in print and electronic media every day.
Document daily activities with photos and evidences.

Instructions to Course Director
Flexes and banners should be arranged saying
‘Government of Andhra Pradesh,
Department of School Education,
Induction Training Programme for New Teachers – 2016.
Training and venue particulars should be published / telecast in the media.
The venue should have proper bathrooms for ladies and gents separately and they should be cleaned every day.
Hygienic and tasty food should be provided.
There should be sufficient running water in the venue.
Mosquito coils should be provided to each room.
Sufficient supporting staff should be appointed.
There should be night watchmen in the venue, if the lady teachers are there in the venue watchwomen should be appointed.
Every classroom should have the furniture, mineral water, suitable electrical facilities for arranging LCD Projectors.
Regular prayer should be conducted in the venue.
Course Director should provide the needed textbooks in sufficient number at venue.
Course Director has to arrange guest lectures by the eminent persons with reference to motivate the teachers.
Sufficient stationary should be supplied to the Resource Persons and participants.
Course Director should observing classes and has to take atleast one class in a day.
Daily review meeting should be conducted with the Resource Persons and should give proper instructions to complete the topics.
After completion of regular sessions the motivational / educational videos / movies should be played in the venue.
Documentation along with photos and videos should be submitted to Director, SCERT A.P., Hyderabad.
Instructions to Resource Persons
Every Resource Person should distribute the topics.
There must be cooperation among the resource persons.
The Resource Persons should go through in his topics.
All the Resource Person should prepare TLM and Power Point Presentations in their topics.
If one Resource Person is teaching the others should co-operate him like affixing charts, operating projector etc.
Whenever a Resource Person is facing problems in delivering content the others should intervene and clarify.
All the Resource Persons must take session wise attendance, if any participant absconds the matter should be informed to Course Director immediately.
Resource Persons should utilize the time only on teaching but not on boasting.
They must be cared to participate all the teachers actively.
Authentic material, situations should be used in the classroom.
Resource Persons should have pleasing, pleasant talk with the teachers.
The sessions should be started in the scheduled time. If it is needed they have to continue late hours.
All the topics laid in module should be covered.
The prepared TLM should be displayed in the classroom.
